This started out as an exercise to see how well a Padlet Wall does the job of supporting an interactive 'Brainstorm' session online:

We had a few teething problems, however, the consensus is that Padlet is simple and easy to use. In fact, the bigger issue was to do with content and highly asynchronous interaction.

One problem with Padlet is that doesn't seem able to carry comments forward when changing to another format Padlet, or when exporting to an Excel or PDF format. That being the case, as moderator, I have to cut and paste comments into Notes so they're taken forward. Not a big deal but worth noting.

So far we had contributions from:

  • Jack - USA

  • Colum - Belgium

  • Sally - UK

  • Sau - Hong Kong

  • Me - UK.

My plan, such as it is, is to leave this Padlet Wall open for the next week or so, after which, I'll transfer it to another Padlet template that supports a network (relationships) model of the items posted.

Who knows, maybe something interesting will surface? I've already learnt a thing or two about different perspectives.
